About this Course

The Ethics and Social Responsibility will address needs to align personal and company values, with vision and mission of the company. Creation of the business purpose that is balanced and leveraging social responsibility is particularly important in DigiCirc initiative. We need to address, formalize, and communicate social responsibility and ethical standards that will be uncompromised in search for business performance.

By integrating business ethics and principles of social responsibility, organizations and start-ups can make a difference in the world and enhance their reputation. ICA will support SME consortia to develop CSR and business ethic strategies, tailored to their needs, to maximize both their environmental and social impact, as well as their marketing appeal. In this process the Principles of the Blueprint for Better Business (UK based Non-profit Association) will be used. This holistic approach motivates companies to develop Purpose-Driven organizationsthat are looking for a successful business with high standards of ethical and social interest for extended Value Chain Partners, Planet and People. Several business cases are used to illustrate a success of corporations that demonstrated above average growth when the synergy of corporate and personal objectives was achieved through ethics and social responsibility focus balanced with financial business objectives.

This module will help participants to define CSR and ethics principles as the important business drivers of sustainability. It will be shared how corporate social responsibility (CSR) matters for companies, major stakeholders and various interest groups and customers. The participants will have opportunity to understand and defineown plans how the use of ethics and social responsibility a sa source of competitive advantage to capture greater economic value, employee motivation and customer preferences.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

By the end of this course the learners will be able to:

• Design a framework for a CSR development roadmap.

• Evaluate existent norms of Ethics and CSR and their applicability for the own business

• Analyze potential competitors through CSR and Ethics principles

• Apply CSR principles as a basis for continuous improvements and leadership

• Understand several models of universal CSR and Ethics standards and their business relevance

• Remember “role model corporations” as the inspiration for own CSR and Ethics development

Requirements

No specific pre-requisites are needed.

Level of teaching

This will be the basic level of course on Ethics and Social Responsibility and will require intermediate language skills. Participants will learn from multiple case studies and exercises how ethical and social responsibility are used to drive competitiveness, sustainable performance, and influence end-users. Several leadership techniques will complete curriculum to guarantee that each participant will use skills strategically.
